• Description:
  • The Hanging Lake trailhead is off of I-70 in Glenwood Canyon just east of Glenwood Springs.  The well maintained trail runs along Dead Horse Creek to Spouting Rock and Hanging Lake.  This was a great short hike after work.

  • Apparently this is called Spouting Rock is because most of the time the water flow isn't strong enough to actually flow over the top like a normal waterfall.  It generally just runs out of the small holes you see below the larger waterfall.
