- Description:
- The trailhead for Gold Hill is
located 4.8 miles up Bottle Bay Road just southeast of Sandpoint
(ID). Gold Hill is the knoll east of the Long Bridge as you are
coming north into Sandpoint. As fate would have it, I ended up
returning to Sandpoint for work after having lived there for several
years. It had been four years since I was in northern Idaho.
After work this particular evening, I decided to return to the Gold Hill
trail for some exercise and scenery. Upon returning to town, I
found a new micro brewery and tried a couple of their beers.

- The rental car company screwed up on my reservation so I got a
free upgrade to an H3. I beat the hell
out of it driving around the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains of northern
Idaho for three weeks.
