- Blacktail Mountain is located
approximately 5 miles east of Cocallala (ID). Ashley decided to
join me on this hike after work. The drive is a little longer than
Gold Hill, but still short enough reach in the evening. It took us
an hour to reach the summit and about 45 minutes to descend. The
views of Lake Pend Oreille were pretty good. After cleaning up
back in Sandpoint, it was time to return to the brewery and try a couple
different beers.
