- We made our annual trip to Ouray (CO) over a long weekend.
Brian, Jeff, Kevin, and I left Denver around 5:30 Saturday morning and
rolled into Ouray shortly before noon after a stop at the Stockyard in
Delta (CO) for brunch. This year we decided to rent a house which
ended up being a great idea. After gearing up, we each ran a
couple laps in New Funtier before moving to some harder and more
sustained routes in the Schoolroom. Again, we each ran a couple of
laps and then went back to the house where George and Abby Barnes were
cooking up a storm in the gourmet kitchen. They made a pot of dark
beer chili that was excellent. A few of us sat in the hot tub a
while and of course we all had a drink or two.
