- Description:
- We slept in until shortly after 7:00 am on Sunday morning and headed
down for breakfast before checking out of the hotel and gearing up for a
short morning in the park. Matt and I dropped a line in the
Scottish Gullies not sure what route we were on. After rapping in,
I climbed it once, Matt climbed out, and then brought me up. Brian
showed up and had a run on it, but it was super easy so we pulled the
rope. We walked past the Five Fingers area which was full and
Kevin pointed out a couple of lines on the Shithouse Wall that were
open. He was on the opposite side of the canyon with a radio.
To keep it simple, we lowered in on what I think was a route called
"Men's Room".
- We left the park around noon and were on the road by 12:30 pm.
Matt and I listened to the NFL playoffs on Sirius radio on the way home
which made the drive go quickly. It was another successful trip to
Ouray.
