- I had to be back in Highlands Ranch (CO) fairly early in the
afternoon, so Jeff and I decided to return to Hully Gully despite just
climbing there within the past 10 days. It was a Wednesday and the
forecast wasn't that good, so we hoped that we would not have a lot of
company throughout the morning. We got to the base of the upper
pitch of Hully Gully first and surprisingly had the ice to ourselves all
day long. We each led the pitch a couple of times; once placing
screws and another pink pointing the route with the screws and screamers
already in place. We also took several more laps on top rope.
It was a great day to be out with no crowds, warm weather, beautiful
scenery, and fun climbing.
