I spent part of my winter and spring
buying new equipment (which my wife wasn't real happy about) and waiting for the
snow to melt. I came down with a bad case of hiking fever
early in the spring and couldn't wait to get back out there. You
realize that since I had an entire season under my belt, I was now an
"experienced" hiker. Whatever. I planned on using
Rich Landers book extensively and wanted to knock off several more of the
hikes he had wrote about in his book, "100 Hikes in the Inland
Northwest". Judging from the
navigation bar on the left, I faired well. By the end of the
1999 hiking season, I had completed a majority of the hikes within a two
hour drive of Sandpoint (ID).
