I got out a few times
in 2002 and bagged four 12ers and the tallest peak in the Sawtooth
Mountains. I certainly didn't
get out as often as prior years, but from Thompson Peak on, the quality of
the hikes is high (at least in my opinion). Lots of off trail hiking
with Class 3 scrambling. I essentially gained the same elevation I did
during 2001, but with 40 less miles hiked.
